Starlink just opened in a new tab. Here’s how to check the $100 referral stuck.
Put in the farmhouse address, pick a plan, then look right under Checkout for this green box:

Closed that tab, or it never opened?

What “applied” looks like
Starlink’s home page won’t tell you a referral is attached. The order page will. Put in the farmhouse address, pick a plan, and look right under the Checkout button for a green box that says “Referral Code Applied”. If it’s there, you’re set.
The screenshot above is Starlink’s order page for a Residential Max order ($130/mo on ), opened through the referral link. We used a public address, Ames City Hall in Ames, Iowa, so no one’s home shows up. Mark number 1 points at the box you’re looking for.
Order page checked US service addresses only.
From the Starlink tab to the green box
- Stay in the Starlink tab that just opened. Don’t retype starlink.com or search for it: the referral rides in that tab’s web address.
- Enter the service address. That’s where the dish goes: usually the farmhouse, not the barn. Starlink checks the address, then takes you to the order page.
- Pick a Residential plan. On Oct 9, 2026: 100 Mbps at $55/mo, 200 Mbps at $85/mo, Max at $130/mo. Check the price Starlink shows you; it can change.
- Find the Checkout button and look just below it. A green box should read “Referral Code Applied — By signing up with this code, you’ll get $100—cash or Starlink service credit.”
- See it? Order in that same tab. Nothing to type: there’s no code box at checkout, because the referral is already in the link.
No green box? Work down this list
- Open the link again in this same browser. Use the button under the screenshot near the top of this page, then go through the address and plan steps again.
- Don’t switch devices or apps. Clicked on your phone but ordering on the office computer? The referral stays on the phone. Open the link on the machine you’ll order from. The same goes for links opened inside Facebook or a mail app: open them in your normal browser.
- Private windows and cookie blockers can drop the referral. Use a regular window, or let starlink.com keep its cookies while you order.
- Typed starlink.com by hand? That loads Starlink with no referral. Only the link carries it.
- Already a Starlink customer, now or before? The reward is for new customers, so the box may not show, and the $100 won’t come.
- Buying the kit in a store? Store and retail purchases don’t qualify. It has to be an order on starlink.com.

Quick questions
Does the $100 come off the price at checkout?
No. The order page total stays the same. Starlink adds the $100 later, on the second monthly bill, once you’ve kept service for two billing cycles. It goes on the account as credit unless you pick cash where Starlink offers it.
Does it matter which Residential plan I pick?
Not for the referral. The reward is for new Residential customers on any of the three speeds. Our screenshot shows Max because that’s the plan a lot of people price out for a big property with a shop, barn and cameras; we only photographed that one. Pick the speed your place needs; the recipes on this site get it from the house to the outbuildings either way.
We already have a dish at the house. Can the shop or second house use the referral?
The reward is for new Starlink customers. If anyone on the property already has a Starlink account, or had one before, don’t count on the $100: ask Starlink before you order. Often a bridge or cable from the first dish is cheaper than a second service anyway.
Can I buy the kit at a farm-supply or big-box store and still get it?
No. Kits bought in a store don’t qualify. The referral only counts on an order placed on starlink.com, in the same browser that opened the link.
Does the site owner get something?
Yes. Starlink gives the owner a referral reward too if you order and keep service. Your price is the same either way. How this site makes money.
