About
About this site
A practical field guide for getting internet from the house to every other building on a farm, ranch or rural property.
Updated Works with any internet provider at the house.
Who runs it
The owner’s name and bio are added before launch.
The owner is a Starlink Residential customer at home in the US. They don’t run a farm or ranch and haven’t installed internet on farmland. The networking gear on this site (bridges, long cable runs, cameras behind CGNAT) can be tested anywhere, so the owner plans to test it at home and label every result “owner-run test at home, not on a farm”. None has been run yet.
How the guides are made
- From manufacturer datasheets and help pages, standards references, Starlink’s and the FCC’s own help pages, and named secondary sources. Every page lists them with dates.
- Parts prices are checked on retailer and maker pages and shown with the date. Where we couldn’t price something, we say so.
- No farm stories, quotes or photos unless they come from real, named people who agreed to share them.
- Safety first: where code or common sense calls for an electrician, the page says so.
